If you are creating and running a web site, you, probably expect people to come and see it. And the most certain way to get people visiting your site is promoting your site on search engines. Getting started with Page Promoter
To start work with the program is as easy as ABC. On the Profile Tab of the software you should specify the basic information about your site. This is where you start working on your site with Page Promoter. Here you should provide the following: the URL of the start page of your site, the title of the start page, keywords, description, etc. Optionally the program can extract the actual information from your site online, so you won’t have to type it in manually. The developers strongly recommend filling all the information required on this tab – both General and Advanced, since any of the items may be required for further registration of the site on search engines. Also, if you are going to submit your site to directories, you should select the category for your site. Ordinary search engines do not require selecting categories, you just submit a URL of the page that needs to be spidered and the search engine robot will come and find all the other pages following the links on the page (provided the page does contain links). However, if you are going to submit to directories such as Yahoo or Dmoz, which are structured into categories you will have to choose what category your site belongs to. Clicking on the Choose Category button will open a dialog for selecting a general category, Yahoo category and Dmoz category. The last two are selected dynamically – the program connects to Yahoo and Dmoz and analyzes their directory structures, allowing you to submit your site to the most appropriate pages. After you make sure all necessary information is submitted you may go over directly to the Submission module.

Submission
As it was mentioned above, the program contains a huge database of promotional resources. But there are many programs that do. So what is there unique about Page Promoter? Well, it submits to Yahoo, which no software does - the problem is that Yahoo submission is secured with image and session cookies or SSL connection. Moreover, the program submits to sites, which are secured by images from automated registration. Even a multi-stage submission procedure is not an insurmountable obstacle for Page Promoter, everything is done with several clicks of the mouse. The software implements search engine friendly submission algorithm and so far there were no reports on being banned for using it.

Search Engine Optimization

It generates a broad report on every aspect of page optimization and allows analyzing your pages by such search engines as Google and Yahoo. It is highly customizable and provides optimization advice for specific key search engines (Google, Yahoo etc.) plus the ability to directly compare your pages to competitor's or top ranking pages.

Additional features
Whereas Page Analyzer module analyzes the on-the-page factors influencing ranking factors, Link Popularity module allows finding out the number of sites that link to your or your competitor’s site. The program queries search engines for sites that link to your site, providing a report, which is stored in the Reports History so that you can easily track the changes in the link popularity of your site. Ranking Utility allows tracking the changes in the position your site occupies on certain search engines. Both Linkage and Ranking module provide visual diagrams that display all changes in page rank and link popularity over the period of monitoring. There is one more optimization tool – Keyword Builder. Not a secret that if you target wrong keywords all your SEO efforts will surely go down the drain. The module incorporates such services as Google Suggest, Overture Inventory, Yahoo, etc. and helps building a list of words that can be targeted at when optimizing your site. Another useful tool – Meta Tag Editor module which allows generating and editing over thirty meta tags, including PICS tags (ICRA standard), Dublin Core tags, that are becoming more and more popular with online libraries now, etc.
