Ninety-nine percent of computer users underutilize their system tray, employing it mostly to check the time or alter the date. Some "advanced" users may occasionally launch a program from the tray. Yet, with Active Tray installed, virtually any computer-related task can be achieved with one mouse click or hotkey combination.

Active Tray is a one-stop shortcut depot. It enables PC users to set up an unlimited number of program icons and shortcuts that can be linked to documents, folders, internet addresses, and other resources—all easily accessible with one mouse click.

The program comes with a default configuration that places My Computer, My Documents, Control Panel, and other important items in the system tray, but a user may add, delete, or swap items as deemed necessary. In order to avoid cluttering, users can create an unlimited number of cascading menus, allowing menu items to be grouped as per their needs.

Basically, Active Tray enables any PC-related task can be carried out from the system tray, without having to browse through endless menus. For added protection, a user may opt to lock their configuration and settings by requiring a password to be entered.

Despite all these advantages, the program is very easy to use. Any person, even those with little or no PC experience, will master Active Tray within a day or two. There is even a short tutorial that shows beginners how the program is set up and configured. The power and simplicity of the program has not gone unnoticed; reviewers from AllFiles.com, File Transit, Download Blast, and other sites have all
given the program excellent reviews and top ratings.
