To build and update web sites is even easier than you might think

Once, exploring the Internet I came upon a program called Intellyweb and I was amazed at the fact how precisely the developers of the program felt the needs of a simple man, who wants to create his own site. I wonder, will design companies, that develop not too complicated sites, have as much work as they do now. Now, after the release of Intellyweb, any head of a small company or owner of a picture gallery can build a site himself, with no help from web-design companies needed. The program has already made quite a good start and become quite popular among users from many countries.

So, what kind of a web site developing tool the Intellyweb Ltd. Company has offered? Having installed the program, I was amazed by a very comprehensive presentation tutorial. After I’ve watched and listened to the tutorial, I felt experienced enough to use the program without having started it so far. The usability level of the program is very high and the user may trust his six sense feeling when he use this program, because the authors of the program have developed it thoroughly and with the user in mind. That’s why when you work with Intellyweb you have a feeling that you work with a program that you use every day for a long period of time already. Making documents with Microsoft Word is harder than creating web sites with Intellyweb.


Let’s create a site right now

Now it is wise to read this article and work with the program at the same time. So, go ahead and install the program and start it. Then, download the Interactive Tutorial from Intellyweb.com and watch it. After you’ve finished with the tutorial, let’s get started with the program.

So, we have all the information we need to create a site. We’ve already thought about which pages the site will consist of, and we have the necessary images and pictures. Let’s create four different pages with the help of one template: Home, Our Production, Links, About Us.
Look at the first screenshot. In the working region there are areas outlined with red borders – they are editable. Here we will put the necessary content. The template already has some text that serves both as an example and a hint and gives us the best fitting picture size for every editable region.
Switching from one page to another with “Site Overview” (the leftmost menu), we fill the site with the content. You can do it in many ways, as you already know from the program tutorial.

So, the site is filled up with the content and now we need to see the result of our work in the Internet browser. Press F9 for Preview. A new window with your site will open. Now you can wander through links and check if everything works all right. Also, check if all the necessary information is present. Nothing’s screwed up? In case everything is ready for publishing, press the “Publish” button. A window pops up (see screenshot 2). Now, open the Site Manager and set all the necessary setting to connect to the server. That’s it. Press “Upload”.
After the uploading process is complete you can load the page by the link of the site and feel amazed at the fact how easily and fast the site has been created.


Many a friend of mine is jealous with me, an owner of such a great program, because they paid design companies big money for their sites, though they could’ve built them by themselves the way they want.
Now, with Intellyweb, you don’t have to waste your time trying to explain your designer how you would like your information to be arranged at the site and how the site should look. Now web site creating is available even for low-grade pupils.

The version number of the program is 1.0.0.11, and that means that in future we may expect even more features and convenience than the program provides now. I hope that in the next version Intellyweb developers add such features as:

image “alt” field editing;

page duplicating (not to create similar pages from scratch);

template editing;

various pop up menus;

custom title of page and menu items editing;
and many other useful things we cannot even dream of.

Probably, some of the suggestions we made for program enhancement are not so necessary for an ordinary user. The list is built up by me, Alex Lander, and this is my private opinion. I’ve worked in the sphere of information technologies for more than 15 years, and I boldly assign this program the RECOMMENDED status. My rate is five stars out of five.

Due to Intellyweb Ltd. the circle of those who now can have their own site on the Internet and share their information with the whole world becomes wider. No doubt, this program is revolutionary.
