Sidency's Collmate is the Collector's Cure for Clutter

v1.3, a database tool for archiving, managing and sharing data on
collectible items.

Anyone with a passion for collecting knows that the key to establishing and maintaining the value of a collectible item is in its documentation. How can one keep track of origins, location, photos to document condition or features, or potential buyers of an item? With Collmate and the investment of a small amount of time each week, collectors can electronically catalog entire collections and make that information instantly accessible and transferable. Collmate keeps track of anything, from the contents of an attic, to baseball card collections, to a warehouse full of fine antique furniture.

Collmate organizes information about an unlimited number of items within an unlimited number of collections in a database tree format, including descriptions, photographs and histories, with additional customizable attributes for any item. Collections can be searched on any available attribute for easy retrieval of data. Users can now assign up to 4 images for each item and include a short comment with each image. There is also a new design for the item details panel, which can be split into several panels and adjusted for visibility and placement.

The newest tool in the Collmate package is the "Collmate Report Designer", distributed as a free Collmate add-on for managing custom report forms and designing custom catalogs. Reports, item lists and collection catalogs can be exported in .html, .csv, .rtf, .txt or .xls formats for posting on the Internet or to be e-mailed to fellow collectors. For those who want to make their collections more mobile, Collmate's integrated Loan Manager tracks, which items are on loan, who has borrowed them, and the date of their expected return.
