Scientific Letter is a specialty mailing software application for scientists and engineers. It is the only application in the world capable of inserting complex equations directly in the body of
message. Currently, most scientists have to use various (and sometimes incompatible) applications to create documents with equations, and attach them, in order to collaborate with their colleagues. The entire process is rather laborious and time-consuming.

The unique feature of Scientific Letter is that any person can type in any complex equation using a built-in editor with a speed very close to typing a regular letter. Most importantly, the recipient of the message does not have to have Scientific Letter installed. All equations will be automatically converted to TeX (LaTeX) notation, a standard for scientific notations available in MS Outlook and other popular e-mail clients. In addition, Scientific Letter does not distort equations in any way.

Conveniently, it can keep a database of equations, so they don't have to be typed in manually over and over again. Moreover, Scientific Letter is a full-scaled mailer with attachments, address book, SMTP and POP3 support. IMAP and connection to the Windows Address Book are soon to be added.

While the program has been released only very recently, it has already gained a wide following among mathematicians, physicists, chemists, engineers, astronomers and other scientists. The program is very easy to learn; in fact, most people become proficient with Scientific Letter after using it for one hour.
