Two new high-profile games are on the way--a Rockstar exclusive for PS3 and Viva Piqata for the Nintendo DS.
A pair of high profile games were announced over the weekend including an unnamed Rockstar exclusive for PS3 and Viva Piqata for the Nintendo DS.
"We are announcing that a new franchise from Rockstar Games will be exclusive to PS3," said Michael Shorrock, director of 3rd Party Relations for Sony on the company's official blog. "Rockstar really wanted to make a game that you can truly only do on PS3, harnessing the power of CELL and Blu-ray disc and this deal lets them do just that."
Shorrock added that more details, including the game genre and title, would be forthcoming.
On the subject of exclusives, Microsoft will be exporting one of its own Xbox 360 games to the Nintendo DS; the critically acclaimed Viva Piqata. The company announced the game during a panel at Comic-Con stating that it is the same game as the Xbox 360 version, and that gamers will not be disappointed with the handheld's "beautiful" graphics. When asked when the game would be released, Rare responded by saying "soon."
