Flash File Recovery is a nifty application that every photographer should be aware of. Essentially, it can recover any previously deleted image file. Plus, it is capable of salvaging pictures from damaged or corrupted flash drives (including camera's built-in memory) and memory sticks. While camera or storage media failure is a rather rare event, the need to recover intentionally or accidentally deleted picture should be familiar to most camera owners.
The list of supported storage media includes but is not limited to SmartMedia , CompactFlash, Memory Stick, MicroDrive, xD Picture Card Flash Card, PC Card, Multimedia Card, Secure Digital Card, and many others. Flash File Recovery "resurrects" images from formatted, damaged, corrupted (unreadable), or defective storage media. The program is very simple and straightforward, applying "just press one button" approach to file recovery. IMPORTANT! While the program supports virtually every "popular" flash drive and memory stick, it works only with images, so other file types, like mp3 files, can not be recovered with this program.
