ProxyInspector Keeps Internet Usage In Check

In the corporate environment, Internet usage by employees can be a tremendous tool to enhance productivity, but it can also be a wasteful distraction. The task of maintaining website filtering and blocking lists is often time-consuming and ineffective. Now, usage monitoring is becoming the gold standard in shaping the behavior of Internet users working from corporate networks.

The ProxyInspector family of applications analyzes corporate Internet usage by retrieving information from log files of popular proxy servers including WinGate, WinProxy, Microsoft ISA Server 2000/2004 and WinRoute. The program works on any computer on a LAN, provides a built-in HTML browser, and gives users tools for automatic log file importation and reporting. Network administrators can then compile statistics on an individual’s use of Internet resources, the sites they visit, and their attempts to access blocked resources. Reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel™ format and e-mail.
