DeSofto SpamFilter is an e-mail client independent utility that works as pop3-proxy server to slaughter unsolicited correspondence. The software is absolutely merciless to spam, yet it does not delete "borderline" messages that may be messages from real people by using a smart neuro-algorithm.
DeSofto SpamFilter is quite different from other anti-spam applications. In fact most spammers use anti-spam solutions to their advantage to test their messages prior to initiating a large spam campaign. For instance, they use words like sa*le or V_I_A_G_R_A to bypass filters. This trick will never work with DeSofto SpamFilter, because the program does not have any "rules".
The core of this software is a unique neuro-algorithm that analyzes the entire message – source, headers and body – in order to determine message validity. Therefore, DeSofto SpamFilter will never delete a legitimate message simply because one of the "trigger words" was used in the Subject line.
Because DeSofto SpamFilter works as a pop3-proxy server, it is activated automatically when e-mail software tries to access server and download messages. The program intercepts all messages and automatically "kills" (deletes directly from the server) all messages that are blatant spam or infected with viruses.
The rest of the messages are processed. The ones that come from a known sender are included into "White List". What's left is flagged as Normal/Spam/Unknown for close inspection. If a good message was erroneously marked 'Spam', program users can press a button and the message from that sender won't ever be flagged as spam.
