It used to be that when the phone rang, one simply picked it up and asked "Who's calling?" to know the source of the call. Then came Caller ID, which answered that question before we even needed to speak, and then came the Internet, with its millions of connections every second but with an equal number of opportunities to obscure identity. Tialsoft has designed Magic NetTrace as a thorough IP tracer tool which assists with connectivity and e-mail troubleshooting, tracks the sources of spam, and can trace the geographic location of web servers and ICQ buddies, among other identification tasks.
Magic NetTrace simplifies IP Address Lookup and Domain WHOIS functions using multithreaded architecture to evaluate all routes between hosts at the same time. This utility can perform WHOIS queries via web interface even if the domain registrar isn’t on a WHOIS server. Integration with Internet Explorer™ enables traceroute and lookup with a single click of the Magic NetTrace button in the Explorer™ toolbar. Users can then print the results, copy them to the clipboard or save them in a file.
With the update to version 2.7.1, Tialsoft has refined the interface, added AFRINIC WHOIS query support, and expanded query support to include Armenian (.am), Estonian (.ee), Soviet Union (.su), Tokelau (.tk), Afghanistan (.af), Puerto Rico (.pr) and a host of African domains. The IP address range map has been updated and a few bugs have been fixed.
