File deleting with QDS Swipe is more secure.

Having touched the topic of file storing security, we have to admit the importance of secure file deleting as well. In fact, when you erase a file on your computer, normally only the link to the actual file is deleted, but the file itself remains untouched. So if you’ve deleted all the information on your hard disk before you wish to sell it or hand over to someone, then you cannot be absolutely sure that the information is completely erased and no one would be able to restore it.

To make you feel safe and secure, the utility called QDS Swipe has been created. If you need to wipe away a file so that no one is able to restore it, then you just need to start the program and point to the file you want to delete in the menu «Select Files To Shred». Besides, you can choose a method to remove the file with. The program suggests five algorithms to perform the erasing process. Three of them have been developed by Quantum Digital Security Pty. If you have previously deleted some files but cannot be sure that the files are completely erased from the disk and cannot be restored, then you may use «Wipe Free Space» option. In this case the program will wipe up the free space and so perform the total removing of the files deleted from the hard disk (since you know, that the standard deleting mechanism doesn’t guarantee the file disappears without a trace).

The program is very simple to use and can serve as your secure file deleting warranty. Though the use of the program might seem a bit excessive at first sight, it may become an important tool to help you keep your information confidential.
