Ergonis Software has released PopChar Win version 1.2 for Windows 95/8, ME, NT 3.x/4.x, 2000 and XP; an easy to use utility for inserting special characters, accented and foreign letters into any document.
In today's world, almost all PC users have the need to use special characters and umlauts. This may be for business correspondence, web site design, accurate lists of places and products, people's names, company details and more.
Many users are left in the position of having to choose between two options. Either ignoring the "extra" characters, thereby misspelling the word and possibly changing the meaning, or hunting for the correct character in the Windows Character Map.
With PopChar Win, the user can quickly and simply insert the desired characters, from all of their installed fonts, straight into the document. Without fuss, without complications, and without making any mistakes.
When a special character is needed, the user simply clicks the system tray icon, selects the character, and it is then instantly placed into the document. No need to memorise complicated keystrokes, no need to search through the Windows Character Map, and no need to copy and paste between different documents.
Version 1.2 of PopChar Win adds the ability to automatically detect the current font of the targeted application, and also remembers and displays recently used fonts within the interface, thereby saving even more time for the user.
