It seems that Electronic Arts isn't content to just put out PC games anymore. Destructoid is reporting that, as of its appearance at Comic Con, the publisher is planning to start selling pre-built PCs that will not only be capable of playing higher-end games, but will also be branded to the theme of the upcoming Crysis Warhead.

This decision seems to be aimed at gamers who are intimidated by the rather demanding system requirements for the Crysis franchise. The idea is that these EA computers will be able to run Crysis Warhead at any level of graphical intensity, which means that they'll be capable of playing just about any other game on the market.

Of course, if players are thinking of getting a new rig with Vista just to run the game on its highest settings, they might want to reconsider: if an XP system has enough power, it was revealed by Warhead producer Bernd Diemer that the game will look just as good on DirectX 9 as it will on DirectX 10.

Currently, not much else is known about these computers from EA. The two burning questions about this revelation are a) how much are these PCs going to cost, and b) is this a one-time deal, or will EA start selling PCs themed to each of their big-ticket games? This sounds like it might not be a bad idea for someone who's looking to get a powerful system but doesn't know how to build one, but it's hard to reccomend it when the details are still so vague.

When it comes to your system though, wouldn't you rather roll your own?
