Demo Builder by doubleT: Interactive Tutorial Movies in a Flash

October 11, 2004 (Mission, British Columbia Canada): doubleT Inc. has released Demo Builder, a production tool for flash simulations and interactive demonstrations for use in software tutorials.

Demo Builder automatically records all actions made on a running application by taking a series of screenshots, which are then edited to create audio-visual movies of how the features of that target application work. Users can insert balloon tips, cursor movements and captions with ease. Multiple animation effects can be added with just a few mouse-clicks. Background audio can be recorded or imported from the hard drive, for frame-by-frame audio or to accompany the entire
movie. Movies by Demo Builder have several interactive options, including text inputs, button clicks and click zones, automatically inserting a pause flag to prompt the end-user for a response.

Demo Builder provides tools for online publishing and e-mail messaging, and exports files in Flash (SWF) or Executable File (EXE) formats, enabling tutorials to be accessible to a wide rage of potential users.

Interactive movies created with Demo Builder can enable businesses to visually communicate software help, tutor users on new software and systems, and potentially reduce the level of customer support that may be required for software or systems.
