Crypted drives help keep information secure (Crypted drives help keep information secure)  Crypted drives help keep information secure

System & Utilities
CryptoExpert GUI
There are a lot of programs to crypt information nowdays. Like, say, programs creating virtual drives with a password access. Imagine that your computer is stolen or used without your permission. Go ahead, that won’t be of any use if you’ve installed CryptoExpert 2004 Pro from SecureAction Research, LCC.

This program lets you create virtual drives that reside on your hard drive as crypted files and you can mount them when you need it. For example: after startup at my computer you will get access only to system files that are needed to start Windows. The rest of the files – various documents, mail bases with secret letters, family pictures and other private stuff – remains on crypted drives. The main virtual drive starts at Windows startup after requesting for a password, and the rest of crypted drives are kept intact on the actual hard drive and can be accessed on demand.

The file with your virtual drive is called a container. You can store it on your local computer as well as on network drives.

CryptoExpert is very useful if you need to send crypted information via email. The program itself lets you create a container, fill it with necessary files and send the attached file to your mail client (Outlook Express, The Bat, etc.) right off. So we perform three sterps in one program.

You can also make CryptoExpert dismount an inactive container in a certain time. I can only make guesses what this feature is needed for. Here is an example where this can be useful:
You work at a plan that uses secret technologies and all the secret information is stored in one of CryptoExpert-created containers. You need to leave your workplace for several minutes and you might have forgotten to lock your computer. A competitor or a thief wants to steal your computer but your container is already dismounted for you have set a five-minute period of inactivity before dismounting.

I think you will find proper tasks for CryptExpert and the program will find a place in your program archives as a Must Have one.
