AT&T Finally Delivers Free iPhone Wi-Fi (AT&T Finally Delivers Free iPhone Wi-Fi)  AT&T Finally Delivers Free iPhone Wi-Fi

Internet & Networks
The country's largest wireless provider announced Friday that it will finally be making good on its promises of free nation-wide hotspots for iPhone owners, first announced back in April.

The company finally detailed its plans, saying, "we are proud to offer iPhone customers free access to the nation's largest Wi-Fi hotspot network with more than 17,000 hotspots, including Starbucks. Now users can relax and access music, e-mail and web browsing services with their favorite blend in hand from the comfort of their favorite location."

Incidentally, the "customers" mentioned are AT&T customers, and the service requires your phone number to log in. Unlocked iPhone users on another network are out of luck.

The list of 17,000 spots includes 12 airports, 31 hotels, 18 convention centers, and more than 8,000 restaurants.
