An update to Age of Empires from MacSoft smooths gameplay with improved networking support and other enhancements.

MacSoft has released an update to Age of Empires III, its real time strategy game for the Mac. The new 1.0.2 update is available for download.

The 1.0.2 update makes several minor changes that help to smooth out gameplay, according to MacSoft, including improved integration with the GameRanger game finding service, reduction of music drop-outs, low-level network optimizations, network timeout crash fix, proper limit on decks, lowered experience requirement to level up Home Cities at level 100 or more, and a fix to the Russian card Ransack to make it no longer effect teammates. Some other balance changes have been made, as well.

Age of Empires III is the Ensemble Studios-developed real time strategy game that puts you in control of Morgan Black and his ancestors as the Black family makes its way from Europe to the New World and then westward. The game recently spawned an expansion pack, as well.
