Especially for Apple iPod users we added in version 4.5 support of M4a tags. Now mp3Tag works with MP3/WMA/OGG/APE/MP4/M4a files. In one window you can change one or more fields (for example, comment and genre) for a group of files, while changing capitalization of values. With just a few clicks of mouse all your songs will get lyrics and album covers from the Internet. This job is completely automatic, no typing is required!
mp3Tag has extensive set of features for working with unnamed music files. For example you have album of Britney Spears without tags and filenames like track01.mp3, track02.mp3, etc. It’s irksome to enter tags manually. You can choose to generate tags using FreeDB (without Audio CD) – the program takes the length of music files, emulates the Audio CD header, and compares this data with all the CDs available in the database and that’s it. If it fails to find the necessary information, but the name of the album is known, downloading data from Amazon web-site might be able to help. In just a few minutes, your music tracks will contain color album covers, lyrics and descriptions. Using values from tags (for example, track number, artist and album name) you can easily rename files like “Artist – Track Title.mp3” and even create folders. You just need to select format of future names, check it in preview and click “Rename files” to produce the final result. The reverse operation (generating tags according to the names of files and folders) is also possible. You can also create playlists or export text information to a file. The development of mp3Tag started in 2000. Since then, it has won dozens of prestigious awards and has attained a loyal following. Its superb interface has been translated into every European language. Related Links:
