Gomel, Belarus; October 15, 2004 -- Afalina of Gomel, Belarus, has released version 2.1 of Add-in Express .NET, a .NET component library for developing MS Office COM add-ins, SmartTags, and Excel RTD Servers.
Add-in Express .NET minimizes the time to start on the COM add-in and smart tag market. "We provide developers with simple object models that can be used without implementing low-level COM interfaces the supported technologies are based on," said Eugene Starostin, the leader of Afalina Office programming team. "That's the point where developers do waste a lot of time." Add-in Express .NET installs technology-specific wizards that generate projects in Visual Basic, C#, Visual C++, J# and Delphi. The projects concentrate the functional code in a single module that makes use of common Visual Studio rapid application development approaches. Starostin said Add-in Express .NET, which supports all applications of MS Office family including Visio, Project, and MapPoint, adds time-saving context-sensitivity features to add-ins and smart tags. To minimize the time to start with Add-in Express .NET, its installation pack includes documentation and sample add-ins, smart tags, and RTD servers. Moreover, several free add-ins with full source code and the HowTo section are available at www.add-in-express.com. Afalina offers its customers to choose among several subscription options, including access to the latest version, custom builds, online support via instant messengers, and consulting on object models of Office applications. The cost of Add-in Express .NET is US$ 149. The delivery is instant. Afalina has been specializing in Office programming components for developers since 2000 when its XL Report series of components was introduced to public. It started Add-in Express in 2002.
