Software Development
Virtually every company uses databases in their day-to-day operations. Some companies run multiple databases, often in different formats, which leads to a compatibility issue. The problem of database conversion is a rather complex one.
For example, MS Access processes DBF files incorrectly when the field length is over 255 characters. WhiteTown Software is a leading software company that specializes in database migration problems. WhiteTown Wizards are a latest addition in its product line.

This set of applications converts DBF files to MDB (MS Access), SQL, XML (Extensible Markup Language), XLS (MS Excel), HTML and CSV (Comma-separated values). In addition, a special application can convert older, outdated DBF files to newer ones and fix their structure. The list of supported DBF formats includes dBase III, dBase IV, FoxPro, VFP and dBase Level 7.

When converting to other database formats, WhiteTown Wizards keep the original database structure, tables and headers, whenever possible. WhiteTown Wizards can be used to web enable databases by converting them to HTML.

In addition, WhiteTown Wizards are extremely simple and do not require any special training. The process of conversion or migration is done step-by-step through the wizard-like interface. Essentially, all a user has to do is to indicate the source file. One click and an entire database is converted to a desirable format within seconds or minutes (for larger database files).
